Celso Simbine is a maritime and underwater archaeologist who has worked in Mozambique’s coastal and underwater environments of the Indian Ocean. He holds MSc degree from the University of Cape Town. He is currently a PhD student at Pretoria University working on the project Maritime Cultural Landscapes: A study of land use and coastal resource exploitation in Sancul – Mozambique Island.
