About

I am an Archaeologist, Archaeological Heritage Manager and Interior Designer

I am a graduate in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Management from the University of Eduardo Mondlane. I am interested in archaeological conservation, photographic documentation of natural and archaeological landscapes, and the management and classification of Swahili related archaeological monuments.

I have worked on diverse projects related to archaeology and cultural heritage management, including:

  • Participation in the creation of the Archaeological Park of Chongoene and Xai-Xai:
  • Creation of the Cultural Market of Artisanal Crafts, Shellfish and Ecosystem Services;
  • Provision of administrative services at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, UEM, within the scope of the launch of the Rising from the Depths Project, Maputo, February 20, 2018;
  • In 2018 I interned as a teaching assistant in the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, UEM, for the course Introduction to Cultural Heritage and Classification of Built Heritage. That same year, I participated as a research collaborator within the project titled “Women’s Identity, Textiles and Cultural Heritage; Coastal Style in Mozambique”, funded by the MNS’s Rising from the Depths network;
  • In 2019 I participated in an archaeological research expedition focused on shipwrecks in the province of Nampula, on the islands of Catamoio, Tamole, e Quelelene in the district of Angoche.
  • Between 2019 and 2024 I provided services as a consultant in archaeological monitoring and archaeological conservation at PGS Heritage Lda, in the province of Cabo Delgado;
  • In 2025 I carried out survey work in Lilongwe, Malawi, and Kasia-Chia.
